چکیده: (5025 مشاهده)
گستردگی قلمرو سلوکیان در شرق و نیاز آن به تسلط بر اتباع ایرانی، منجر به ایجاد پایگاههای حامی خود با مجبور ساختن اتباع یونانی-مقدونی به مهاجرت در درون سرزمینهای شرقی شد. ساخت زنجیرگونۀ کلونیها درطول مسیرهای تجاری شرق و عملکرد سیاسی-اقتصادی آنها سبب استحکام حکومت سلوکی و دوام بیشتر آن نسبت به حکومت اسکندر مقدونی شد. وجود کلونیهای هلنیستی در آسیایمرکزی سبب شد تا جمعیت انبوهی از مهاجران یونانی-مقدونی بهسوی این منطقه گسیل شوند که خود پنجرۀ جدیدی بهروی تجارت شرق به غرب باز کرد. مقالۀ حاضر، بر آن است تا با تکیه بر دادههای باستانشناختی و متون تاریخی و بهروش توصیفی-تحلیلی، نخست به روشن ساختن ماهیت شهرسازی سلوکیان و تفاوت کلونیها و پولیسها بپردازد؛ سپس علل ساخت و کاربرد کلونیها در آسیایمرکزی و فلات ایران را شرح دهد. از آنجا که تمرکز پژوهشهای گذشته بیشتر به نحوۀ ساخت و تجدیدبنای شهرهای سلوکی در سوریه و آسیایصغیر بوده است. پژوهش حاضر، سعی دارد تا بر این پرسش اصلی تمرکز کند که، هدف سلوکیان در ساخت کلونیها و شهرهای مختلف چه بوده است؟ فرضیۀ تحقیق آن است که سلوکیان علاوهبر استفادۀ نظامی از این شهرها، به استفادۀ اقتصادی از آنها نیز میاندیشیدند؛ چراکه جایگاه این کلونیها که بعدها به شهرهای بزرگ تبدیل شدند، درطول جادههای تجاری شرق بوده است که خود بر نقش اقتصادی آنها افزوده است.
