Article Acceptance

Article Acceptance and Expert Peer-Review Process

Type of review:
- Double-blind peer review
- Average review time: less than 6 months (between 2 and 4 months)
- Time from initial review of received articles and notification of opinion to author to start of review process 6 working days.  

 


Review process

1. Receipt of the article and preliminary review by scientific experts. 3 days.
2. Review by specialized editors (editor and responsible manager). 3 days.
3. Sending to specialized referees for review and scientific approval of the article. The initial deadline is 14 days. (It can be extended to 10 days if needed and requested by the referee).
4. Review of reviewers' opinions by specialized editors. 3 days.
5. Submission of reviewers' comments for review and correction by authors .7 days.
6. Return of the article to the journal office and review by the scientific expert and specialized editors for the exact application of the change requested by the reviewers. 3 days.
7. If a review is requested by one of the reviewers, the article is sent to the appropriate reviewer. 7 days.
8. Sent to a third reviewer. The first deadline is 14 days.  
 


Note:
- Each article is sent to at least two reviewers for scientific review, and if both reviewers agree, the article is approved or rejected by two votes; if one reviewer agrees and the other reviewer disagrees, the article is sent to the third reviewer. Thus, each article is approved or rejected by two votes for the article or two votes against the article (based on a majority vote).

- After the approval of two referees, it will be possible to issue a certificate of acceptance.

 

Reminder:
  • The minimum time for review and approval of each article is 2 months; and if more reviews are needed, it can be extended for another 2 months.
 
  • Respected authors are requested to follow patiently the whole process of sending and accepting their articles only through the system and according to the schedule announced by the journal office (2 to 4 months).
 
  • Regarding telephone response, the Journal Office will only respond to articles that have a possible delay in the announced scheduling process, i.e., more than 4 months by the Journal Office; otherwise, all cases must be tracked through the system.
