Explicit expression of a conflict or conflict of interest
Scientific Quarterly

Parseh Journal of Archaeological Studies

This journal asks its authors to explicitly disclose any conflicts of interest of individuals or organizations involved in the publication of their articles at the end of each article, with titles such as Conflict of Interest, Percentage of Participation, and Acknowledgments.

In this context, the authors of this journal's articles explain conflict of interest in two parts:

1. Conflict of personal interest
In the case of a conflict of personal interest, it should be determined whether or not the submitted article is in conflict with a particular person in both material and spiritual dimensions. If there is a conflict of interest, it should be clearly explained and identified.

2. Organizational or governmental conflict of interest
If there is a conflict of interest of the organization or the government, it should be determined whether the submitted article was done at the expense of the government organization or not. If there is a conflict of financial interest, it should be clearly explained, and if the budget comes from the government, it should be disclosed.
  • In order to clarify the conflict of interest of the persons involved in the research and the financial sponsor, the authors of the articles are required to indicate their names and the percentage of their participation.
  • Also, in order to honor the spiritual dimension of the people involved in the research, another section titled "Acknowledgment" is added at the end of the article to acknowledge and thank the people.
  • Authors should take the following points into consideration in the section on conflicts of interest.

  • If the article is the result of a research project, thesis or dissertation, its details must be included and the responsibility for the content of the article (responsible author) must be the "supervisor"; in such articles, according to the protection of conflicts of interest and the rules of the universities, the name of the student is included as the first author and the first and second supervisors or consulting professors, respectively.

  • The financial cost of conducting the research that led to the production of the article, including how it was funded and by whom it was funded.

  • The necessary ethical approvals that have been obtained for the conduct of this research must be included.

  • If the results contained in the article conflict in any way with the interests of the authors, the organization for which the authors work, and the funders of the research, this should be clearly stated. Of course, the consequences of not declaring these cases, if any, are the responsibility of all authors of the article and will be dealt with according to the legal guidelines of journal ethics and applicable laws.

  • If the article has already been sent to a journal and has not been accepted, the exact specifications of that journal must be included. Obviously, the consequences of not declaring these cases, if any, are the responsibility of all authors of the article and will be dealt with according to the legal guidelines of journal ethics and current laws.

  • Authors of articles commit themselves not to send the articles to any Iranian or international journal at the time of submission to Parseh Journal, so that the assignment can be determined. This right can be revoked only by refusal to publish the article in the journal or by withdrawal of the author from further cooperation.

  • Notification of submission to this journal should be sent to all authors of the article.
