«هویت» ازجمله مفاهیمی است که دارای گسترۀ معنایی وسیعی در علومانسانی است. موضوع هویت در سالهای اخیر در تقابل با جهانیسازی اهمیت بیشتری یافت؛ از اینرو هویت آثار فرهنگی-تاریخی با مفاهیم مختلف موضوع بسیاری از اسناد بینالمللی ازجمله سازمان آموزشی، علمی و فرهنگی سازمان ملل متحد یونسکو و شورای بینالمللی ابنیه و محوطهها ایکوموس بوده است. اینکه در اسناد بینالمللی مرتبط با میراثفرهنگی مانند یونسکو و ایکوموس مفهوم هویت چگونه موردتوجه بوده است، پرسشی است که این پژوهش به آن میپردازد. برهمیناساس در پژوهش حاضر ویژگیهای و ابعاد مفهوم هویت در این اسناد مطالعه شد و مفاهیم مرتبط با آن استخراج و تحلیل شدند. به اینمنظور هویت در اسناد مذکور از چارچوب علوم اجتماعی موضوع مطالعه شد. مطالعات مربوط به علوم اجتماعی به روش تفسیری انجام شد و برای مطالعۀ اسناد بینالمللی از روش تحلیل محتوا استفاده شد. در تحلیل محتوا پس از مطالعۀ دقیق متون جملات کلیدی و کدها استخراج شد و در سه مقولۀ اصلی و 10 زیرمقوله طبقهبندی شد؛ مقولههای اصلی شامل: هویت، ویژگیهای هویت و ابعاد هویت است. ازطریق تحلیل نتایج بهدستآمده، الگویی برای مطالعۀ هویت یک اثر فرهنگی-تاریخی را تبیین شد. براساس این الگو گونههای اثر یکی از هفت نوع گونههای هویتی است که شامل سه نوع گونههای تکبُعدی، سه نوع گونۀ دوبُعدی و یک نوع گونۀ سهبُعدی است. این الگو در شناخت ابعاد و وجوه هویتی اثر کمککننده است. اهمیت این الگو در همهجانبه بودن شناختی است که در ارتباط با اثر بهدست میآید؛ زیرا همهجانبه بودن شناخت اثر باعث میشود در برای مواجه با آن مناسبترین شیوه در پیش گرفته شود.
