Abstract

Abstract
Study of human skeletons are gives researchers very valuable information about ancient people (especially, skeletons that in archeological excavations are obtained). In studies of osteology are considered different aspects of bone morphology after classification and typology. In this type of study, quickly gender determination and estimate of skeletons age is done from the appearance of bones without performing complex experiments in the lab. In the male and female skeletons are clear differences. These differences are based on standard indicators. The human skeletons of Korijan from a historical site was obtained, that after the recovering actions and maintaining the physical structure it in the first situation, necessity of studies of gender determination and estimate of skeleton age was considered. In the first view, maybe questions about gender determination and estimate of skeleton are looked completely clear or very complex. The review this point that human skeleton of Korijan have been related to men or women, or this skeleton is in the age of the elderly or adult; proof or refutation of these hypotheses was needed to use scientific approaches and use of measurable and experimental variables. The sciences of biology, physical anthropology, and osteology are close relationship with each other, and these sciences through this relationship are help great help to answer these questions and hypotheses. In this research, has been used from the combination of the species classification method (typology) and branch classification (that this method more is used biological studies and osteology). In these methods, skeletal data has been evaluated in equal of indices and variables in category of similar species. Use of the library resources, is another part of studies of this research.

Introduction
After the discovery of ancient grave in Korijan, in the first step, was done identification of bones and tissue fixation them, and the skeleton was moved to the Hegmataneh Museum with scientific methods. After restoration of the skeleton, was done gender determination and estimate of skeletons age. Many archaeologists are refitting the social structure of ancient societies based on traces from the excavation of ancient sites and cemeteries are obtained. In this research, based on bio data with species classification method (typology) has been studied apparent differences of male and female skeletons. The male and female skeletons are a lot of obvious and hidden features that can be categorized. These features are different with each other; and experts from these different features are used to classify human skeletons. Main research questions: What features should be used in the classification of the skeleton under study? And, how should these features assessed? In relation to estimate of skeleton age, in addition to use the species classification method (typology) and branch classification, also evaluation pattern of the skeleton age has been consideration. The purpose of this research, provide of the standard criteria for gender determination and estimate of skeletons age is done from the appearance of bones without performing complex experiments in the lab. In this research, has been used from the combination of the species classification method (typology) and branch classification (that this method more is used biological studies and osteology). In these methods, skeletal data has been evaluated in equal of indices and variables in category of similar species. Use of the library resources, is another part of studies of this research.

Research findings
During the trenching for limitation of Korijan Tepe in South of Kabudarahang in 2002 year was obtained the human skeleton of Korijan, and for further studies to Hegmataneh Museum was moved. The male and female skeletons are a lot of obvious and hidden features that can be categorized. For this purpose, pelvis bones are most important part. The importance of pelvis bone is for distinguish of gender, and this Because of the difference in performance it between men and women. In general, the female pelvis is wider than the male pelvis. Thin pelvis is more suitable for movement. In addition to the pelvic bone, skull bones and then bones of hip, arm, collarbone, shoulder, and wishbone for distinguish of gender are important. Size and general strength of other skeletal areas as a sub-index are noteworthy. 
Furthermore, by reviewing the skeleton, we can be estimate of skeletons age. The various methods that are use usually for estimate of age in the time of death in adult skeletons, as follows: Closure of the skull sutures, shape of ends of the ribs, shape of the articular surfaces, shape of the symphysis pubis, and checking the condition and covering of the teeth. In general, the age of human is determined: to 2 years from the milk tooth, from 2 to 6 years old from bone points, from 6 to 12 years old through permanent teeth, from the age of 12 to 25 from the junction of epiphysis to diaphysis, and from the age of 30 from the skull sutures and condition of the teeth.

Conclusion
Although, today is genetic laboratory methods for recognize the men and women skeletons, but these methods are expensive and time consuming. Adaptive method and typology used in osteology of Korijan skeleton and with knowledge of male and female skeletal differences, the most appropriate approach is to achieve the desired information. Ancient grave of Korijan was includes a squatting burial. In this research, that has been done based on osteology studies, gender of skeleton was detected woman, and its approximate age based on the skull and lower jaw, was adult human.

Abstract

Abstract
The idea and inspiration of an artist derived from the life experiences which artist gained from the interaction and exchange with the society and surroundings.  This society is also affected by the conditions and incidents that have universal influence on societies in local and regional levels. Based on this flow of influences, the paintings can be recognized as the pictorial history of every society which can present the historical conditions and social specifications of the time and place the paintings created. This becomes more important when the work of art is custom-made or aimed at announcing and displaying authority or a state-political statement. Studying the Qajar royal wall paintings from the sociological point of view, will open up a door to the current culture of the society and the ideology of that era. Due to so many reasons these wall paintings are the most important in the artistic works of the Qajar period. The great variety and diversity in the subjects, color palettes, and theme, the compilation of tradition and modernism in the style all represent signs of a desire to achieve a great goal, which is the same as the influence and authority of the sovereignty. The complexities of the social and political conditions of the Qajar dynasty on the one hand and the correlation between the artistic movements and these conditions on the other hand, make the solid studying and analyzing the wall paintings of this period , regardless of the social and political influence of this historical period, difficult or even in vain.In this research, after presenting the definitions related to historical sociology and studying the relation between the histo-sociology and studying the works of arts, effective factors in the study of the wall paintings of the Qajar period are discussed. As the first factor, the social class of the painters and patrons of these paintings is discussed. The painters categorized based on their work, style and also the type of artwork they create. Based on the fact that these paintings were designed and implemented for the purpose of transmitting a certain message, the next factor was the audience of this type of paintings, according to which the language and composition of the design and images were determined. After examining these components, the influence of royal wall paintings of Qajar in historical sociology is discussed on the basis of social and political specifications of that time. The purpose of this discussion is not to consider these spesifications and factors in a general overwiew, but to study the role of different factors in the process of formation of the royal paintings of this period. This research is based on descriptive-analytical and comparative approach and using library studies and observations of works, investigates the wall paintings of the Qajar period in terms of structural and visual elements, identifying different aspects of them. The impact of historical sociology and its relationship with the wall paintings of the Qajar period is considered as the main objective of the research. The main question in this study is whether the Qajar royal wall paintings represent the social and political relations at the national and international levels of the Qajar era. The impressive influence of the political, social and historical conditions on the Qajar royal wall paintings as a result of this research has made it possible for these wall paintings to be valid and credible clues and documents in the studies of sociology of this historical period in Iran.
Studying Qajar painting helps importantly to identify and study the art and culture of Qajar dynasty. Existence of lots of paintings, diversity of designs, color and subject, combining tradition and modernism were factors for selecting this dynasty to investigate. As the painting is the visual history of each era, sociology studying of painting in this dynasty will make one to understand common culture and thinking of people in that society.

Abstract

Abstract
The purpose of this research is preliminary studies and speculation on a shipwrecked ship off the coast of Talesh city in Gilan province related to the Qajar period. In this regard, field studies and sampling of various parts of the hull (wood, metals, water and soil inside and outside the hull) as well as microorganisms such as fungi and moss on the hull have been done. It is noteworthy that the samples were taken from both the open parts and the buried parts of the hull and the surrounding area. After that, the necessary analyzes were performed. The purpose of collecting and interpreting the data resulting from the analysis in this study is to provide a suitable solution for the protection, restoration and maintenance of this valuable historical monument to be considered at the national level and its location as a special tourist museum site. A region should be given priority and the heritage and cultural value of this work should be heard by foreign and domestic tourists. Therefore, the first step of this research has been field studies, speculations and necessary analyzes in the field of protection and restoration, which in the next stages should be considered by considering the appropriate conditions of maintenance and application of reconstruction processes with special protection instructions. And restoration, this ship should be formed in its original form and the lost parts should be restored. In this study, water samples inside and outside the ship were measured with a pH meter. After performing relevant analyzes, including spectroscopy of samples of wood textures of the hull, the presence of hydrocarbon compounds and petroleum derivatives (bitumen) has been determined from FTIR analysis. Other essential analyzes in this study are microbial tests taken from samples. Analyzing the results obtained from the cross section of the samples, this ship was Russian, which was used to transport petroleum products with a wooden structure made of Russian pine (coniferous leaf). In terms of antiquity and time, during the Qajar period and before that, for unknown reasons, it has blossomed on the shore of Ghorogh in the Talesh section of Gilan province.

Introduction
The pinnacle of underwater archaeological advances is more related to the time when the Scuba: self-contained underwater breathing apparatus was invented. Figure 1 This discipline has revolutionized underwater, seas, and oceans and has yielded valuable achievements and discoveries (Dekker, David, 1889; Davis, 1955; Quick, 1970). Underwater archeology, especially the study of sunken and wrecked ships, is a field of archeology that has the most expertise in the study and exploration of sunken ships. Its techniques are a combination of archeological and diving techniques to become underwater archeology. Therefore, shipwrecks have sunk on some shores and can be discovered and studied as a valuable historical document (Mireskandari, 1379). Study and research with acquired information from historical shipwrecks with objects sunk on the shores or sunk in the seas and oceans themselves is the expressive language and image of the valuable history and civilizations of many centuries and in the processes and patterns of ancient trade, Transportation and migration bring rich information and also transfer culture, knowledge and civilization to future generations. In the past, human beings have been able to conquer the sea and oceans with the least facilities, and this has been a sign of the genius and continuous efforts of people in ancient times and times (Glisan, 1366; Mireskandari, 1379). Therefore, the study of the history of maritime trade and the structure of the historic ships of the Caspian Sea is a necessity that has not been seriously considered by researchers. In this study, the wood structure as well as the necessary analyzes for wood science and extraction materials as well as microbial tests and environmental factors on this ship were studied and with different technologies such as FT-IR and also with extraction processes with solvents. Organic on the internal samples of this shipwreck, useful results have been obtained, including the presence of petroleum derivatives in the internal parts of the hull. The processes of this research are used as basic studies in order to use the best scientific methods and principles in the next stages for its protection, restoration and implementation of technical maintenance operations.

Material and Method
For initial investigations, ambient humidity and ambient temperature were measured at several points with a data logger to analyze the effect of ambient humidity on damage to the ship’s structure and hull for additional studies. At first, with the necessary inspection and visit to the site, the damages that were visible in the structure and appearance of the work were identified, which include the following: 1- Change in the appearance and texture of the wood used; 2- Corrosion of the surface of the metal (mainly nails) iron ones) used for connections and fastenings; 3- Change in color, shape and texture of the covering and strengthening material of the used wood; 4- Burning of wooden surfaces on the southwest side due to lighting a fire on the side of the ship; 5- Fracture and the lack of parts of the ship’s skeleton in some parts of it; 6- Growth of microorganisms and moss cover on a part of the wooden surfaces that were exposed to stagnant moisture; 7- Accumulation of cement tissue around metal joints and fasteners and its homogenization with joints; 8- The inadequacy of the environmental conditions of the ship’s structure, including humidity and temperature in the parts buried in the sand and the outer parts of the ship; 9- The wear of the wooden surfaces of the outer body of the ship due to the movement of sand particles through the wind can be mentioned. For preliminary investigations, ambient humidity and ambient temperature were measured at several points with a data logger device in order to analyze the impact of ambient humidity on the damage caused to the structure and hull of the ship for further studies. By drying the wood specimen of the ship’s hull to prepare the microtome, the work steps were performed according to the working method and cross sections were prepared from the samples. Russia. Also, Microbial tests with moss and mold on wood and microorganisms have been performed in the microbial environment. The results obtained from the microbial tests of the Bio-microbiology Laboratory are as follows. Necessary analyzes have been performed on wooden samples of ship hull with FTIR to check the structure of wooden structures and effective materials.

Results and Discussion
The identified fungi are Aspergillus niger (Aspergillus niger), Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus fumigatus (Aspergillus fumigatus) that is worth mentioning that due to the coverage of the entire surface of the plate by Aspergillus fungus, it is possible that some fungi in the environment that have a lower growth rate were not grown and isolated on the subrodextrose agar culture medium. The results of the identification of bacteria grown on nutrient agar medium are Bacillus, Pseudomonas, Flavobacterium, Staphylococcus and Arthrobacter.
Bacteria and fungi lead to the deterioration of wooden works through the production of cellulose and lignin decomposing enzymes in the structure of wood. In this study, all the fungal species identified belonged to the genus Aspergillus. This genus of fungi, which includes more than 300 different species, can be found on a large scale all over the world in different environments, including soil, and they multiply quickly in the right conditions, including access to humidity and the right temperature. The production of different enzymes, including cellulase, by different types of Aspergillus species has been proven, hence the isolation of this group of fungi on wooden works indicates their high potential in destroying organic compounds in wood. On the other hand, it should be noted that due to the high growth power of Aspergillus fungus that quickly covers the entire surface of the culture medium, it was not possible to identify and isolate other possible fungi in the environment.
All the bacterial genera isolated in this study are among the bacteria that are abundantly found in various surveys of environmental samples, including soil, therefore, the isolation of these bacterial genera in this study is not far from the mind. The production of extracellular cellulase enzyme has been proven by some of this group of bacteria, including Bacillus, Pseudomonas, and Flavobacterium. It is worth mentioning that the isolation of the relevant bacteria from wood is the reason for the production of 100% cellulose or lignin decomposing enzymes by them, but in an environment with a high microbial population, microbes can use the organic substances released in the environment by the enzymes extracellular produced by other microorganisms to use for growth and reproduction. In total, the culture results of the relevant samples indicate high bacterial and fungal contamination, which often have a high potential to produce enzymes and substances that damage the structure of wood. 

Conclusion
According to the results obtained from various analyzes, including FT-IR results from samples extracted from the hull of a historic ship in the Ghoroq area of Talesh city in Guilan province, due to its high antiquity and its historical and cultural value in the region in different dimensions Including tourism can be very important, so scientific studies for its protection and reconstruction are among the topics that are currently left on the beach without any protection operations and have been exposed to a variety of natural and unnatural damage. These studies are the source of a suitable solution for following the necessary protection and repair instructions. Therefore, in the beginning of these activities, recognizing the injuries and providing a solution is essential. Through field research and analysis of samples, the wooden structure of the hull was made of coniferous wood from Russia and its use has been active in the transportation of goods, including petroleum derivatives. With the analyzed samples of the in-ship jute texture in FT-IR spectroscopy, most of the parts show the wood texture, but some samples show the presence of hydrocarbon compounds that mainly constitute the structure of kerosene. Therefore, considering that the structure of the main timber of the ship’s hull, in addition to being saturated with water, is full of oil compounds, so it needs special protection and restoration operations to perform the best reconstruction and restoration on these valuable historical monuments. The commercial, economic and cultural history will chart a new path for future economic activities and also serve as a professional tourism center for domestic visitors and foreign tourists.

Abstract

Abstract
Saqanefars are kinds of wooden ritual monuments with religious functionality, found only in Mazandaran province, north of Iran, and date back to the Qajar era. In these buildings, the mourning of Muharram and other mourning rituals are held every year. Despite the cultural importance of Mazandaran’s Saqanefars, the type of wood used in these buildings has not yet been identified and researches have been focused on their architecture and paintings. In this research, the wood used in different structural members of five Saqanefars in different areas of Qaemshahr including Ghadikola Nokandehka (GN), Seyed Abosaleh (SA), Reykandeka (RK), Ahangarkola Bishesar (AB), and Vostakola (VK) were examined macro- and microscopically. After extracting a list of wood anatomical features from the stained microscopic sections, each specimen was identified. All studied specimens were of ring-porous hardwoods. Except for GN, other wood samples turned the water golden after immersion. The wood species used in the Saqanefars of SA, RK, AB, and VK were identified as Zelkova (Zelkova carpinifolia) while the Saqanefar of GN were made of Persian oak (Quercus macranthera). Both kinds of wood are durable, have little moisture uptake, and do not require much repair and maintenance work. Oaks and other tree species with high-quality constructional timber were as widespread as Zelkova in the forests near studied Saqanefars. Hence, the preference for Zelkova could not solely be related to its availability and technical quality. Considering that from the 16th century onwards, Zelkova wood became one of the most popular types of timber for the construction of historical and religious buildings in the Far East (especially in Korea and Japan), and the similarity of the architecture and painting of wooden Saqanefars to the temples in these countries, choosing this wood could partly be influenced by cultural exchanges.

Introduction
A Saqanefar is a kind of ritual monument in Mazandaran province, north of Iran. Some older Saqanefars are completely wooden and were built in the late Safavid and early Qajar periods, and due to cultural exchanges between the local people and Chinese merchants, they are partially influenced by the architecture of Buddhist temples. Despite the cultural importance of Mazandaran Saqanefars, the type and age of the timbers used in them has not been investigated so far, and researches have been limited to their architecture and surface paintings. However, knowing the type of constructional timbers used in ancient wooden structures and objects can provide many unknown facts about the history, culture and trades in a region. Moreover, for the maintenance and renovation of ancient buildings, it is essential to know the type of wood used in them. In this research, the types of used timbers in the historical Saqanefars of Qaemshahr city were identified and discussed. The main hypothesis of the research was that due to the sacredness of Saqanefar s, lumbers from a certain tree species was used in their construction.

Materials and Methods 
Five Saqanefars were identified in different areas of Qaemshahr city, located in the villages of Ghadikola Nokandehka (GN), Seyed Abosaleh (SA), Reykandeka (RK), Ahangarkola Bishesar (AB), and Vostakola (VK). Small wooden samples were extracted from different parts of each monument, using a handsaw or an increment borer. The transverse surface of the samples was sanded and first examined macroscopically. Then, thin sections were cut, stained, and analyzed, microscopically. The anatomical features of the wood of each sample were extracted based on the IAWA list of microscopic features for hardwood identification (Wheeler et al., 1989) and finally, each sample was identified.

Results and Discussion 
With the macroscopic and microscopic examination of the samples, it was found that all samples extracted from different structural members of a Saqanefar are made of the same wood species. The wood used in the four Sqanefars of SA, RK, AB, and VK were all from zelkova trees (Zelkova carpinifolia), while the Sqanefar GN was made of Persian oak (Quercus macranthera). This distinction was evident in the golden color of the water after immersing the wood of the first four Saqanefar and the absence of such a state in the last one. Zelkova is a high-quality wood and is known as one of the best construction timbers. Zelkova wood has a low moisture uptake, and in addition to wooden structures, it was also used to make the door and window frames of mosques in Iran (Browicz, 1982). This wood was widely used for construction of historic timber structures (Hwang et al., 2009) and places of worship in the Far East, and is considered the most important hardwood in building of old temples in South Korea (Kim & Choi, 2016). In Japan, Zelkova wood has been used to build temples since the 16th century. In fact, it was the Chinese carpenters who taught the Japanese how to work with this tough wood and suggested its use in the 15th century (Mertz, 2016). Oak has been one of the most popular type of wood for building timber for centuries due to its high durability and the little need for maintenance and repair. 

Conclusion 
Most of the old, timber-structured Saqanefars in the villages of north Iran were made of zelkova, and only one of the five investigated structures was from oak wood. Considering that these two woods are of good and comparable quality, and almost the similar abundance of these two species in the forests around the location of Saqanfears, the preference for using Zelkova is not only due to technical and economic issues, and could be related to cultural reasons. Zelkova wood is mostly used for the construction of shrines and religious sites in the Far East and especially in Korea, and due to the similarity of the architecture and painting of Saqanefars to the temples in these countries, the choice of Zelkova timber for the construction of these places can be partly influenced by cultural exchanges.

Abstract

Pottery has long been one of the key mediums for expressing cultural elements in Iran. The decorative motifs used in this art form are deeply rooted in Iranian culture, literature, religion, and political contexts, immortalized through the innovative creativity of Iranian artists. Among these motifs, the “Waq Tree” or “Talking Tree” stands out as one of the most prominent decorative elements, particularly gaining attention during the Ilkhanid period. This motif, which combines natural, imaginative, and mythical elements, was employed in the luster tiles of Takht-e Soleyman and reflects a profound connection between humans, nature, and animals. This study aims to address why this motif was prominently featured and executed by artists during the early Ilkhanid rule at Abaqa Khan’s palace in Takht-e Soleyman. It seeks to explore both visual representations of the examples and their associated cultural foundations. Using a descriptive, analytical, and historical approach, supported by imaging of historical samples, this research concludes that the painters of Takht-e Soleyman’s luster tiles depicted wild animals such as deer, gazelles, and rabbits instead of humans—who are typically central to illustrations of the Talking Tree. The choice of wild animals over human figures may reflect the nature-oriented tendencies of the Seljuks and Mongols. This selection also highlights the influence of Mongol culture on Iranian art—a culture that introduced animal anthropomorphism as a prominent element in literature and art. The Waq Tree, rooted in Iranian and global folklore, symbolizes a deep connection between humans, nature, and living beings. This mythological concept is intertwined with ideas such as the sanctity of nature and the bond between the human world and the natural world. The depiction of this motif on Takht-e Soleyman’s luster tiles demonstrates the artists’ efforts to convey these concepts, which were innovatively reimagined during the Ilkhanid era.
