The Quarterly journal of knowledge of conservation and restoration (KCR) accepts and publishes papers in preventive conservation and risk management, Conservation of archaeological excavations, Conservation and restoration of architectural decorations, conservation and restoration of historical-cultural objects, Theory and management of conservation and restoration of historic- cultural relics, conservation of intangible heritage and cultural heritage  values,  Interdisciplinary studies in the field of conservation and restoration of Materials and new technologies in conservation and restoration, Archaeometry studies.
 

• Papers should be original and comprise previously non published materials, as well as not being currently under consideration for publication elsewhere.
• Papers must be written in Farsi language.
• The papers will be published after being reviewed and evaluated by the referees and editorial board.
• The author(s) is responsible for the views, statements and ideas expressed in the paper.
• The journal has the authority to accept or reject the papers. Received paper will not be returned.
• No part of the papers in this journal may be published elsewhere without being referred to this journal.
• The papers should be a research work done by the authors (s).Review papers will be accepted provided that reliable and recognizable references have been used and the journal will not publish the translation,reports, notes and etc.
• If the paper is extracted from a research project or  dissertation, title of dissertation or research project also must be written on the first page.
• For the first evaluation, the paper manuscript (abstract, full text) and a letter to the editorial board of journal are necessary.

 
Preparation of Manuscript Cover Page
The cover page, separated from the manuscript and unnumbered, must include title (that should be brief and emphasize the subject), the names of author(s), scientific qualification and affiliation, and corresponding author's address! postal address, phone and fax numbers and e-mail.
 
Abstract
Abstract placed in a separate page should be informative and written in Farsi and not exceed 300 words, including research question, objectives, methodology, major results and conclusion.
The English abstract should be placed at the end of paper in same format not exceed 350 words.
 
Keywords
Key words should be separated by commas and not exceed 5 words, should include words that best describe the topic.
 
Introduction
This part must include the research question, hypothesis and general idea of the paper as well as literature review.
 
Research Methodology Paper's main body
This part should include the research's theoretical principles, studies, investigations and results.

Conclusion
The research conclusion should include a brief summary of the research subject and answer the research question in a logical way.
 
Endnotes
Endnotes (including foreign lexicons, expressions and remarks) must be numbered in the text using brackets and finally placed at the end in alphabetical order.
 
References
All references cited in the text must be listed at the end of the paper. References should follow the APA style:

- In paper: (Author's surname, year of publication: page number).
- In the paper's final reference:
Books: author's surname, author's name, (year of publication), book title, translator's name, location, publisher.
Papers: author's surname, author's name, (year of publication), paper title, journal's name, volume, number, page number(s).
Electronic documents: author's surname, author's name. (date). Title of document. Full electronic address.
 
Illustrations, figures and tables
Illustrations in appropriate quality (provided with at least 300 dpi in jpg format) should be inserted at nearest place to related text with their reference including the author's name, year of publication, page number which must be placed at the bottom of it.
All illustrations must be numbered in order in which they are referred to in the text.
The table captions must be placed at the top of the table and the figures captions must be placed at the bottom of the figures.
 
Submission
The paper manuscripts must be submitted in 4 one-sided printec! copies in A4 size. The text must be typed in word 2007 (font: B-Nazanin, size 12 for Farsi version and font: Garamond, size 11 for English version), in maximum 18 pages. The electronic file of the paper should be attached on a CD.
In this condition, when the received paper manuscripts don't follow the instructions, the journal has right to reject it.
